Pinche Gringo at the Way Out Club

Sunday, November 16th, 2008

Who the hell is Pinche Gringo, you might ask? Well, aside from obviously being some “fucking American” rumored to be living in Mexico (he’s originally from Greensboro, North Carolina), he used to play drums (maybe still does?) in The Spinns, an excellent, raw garage-punk band that played a show here once at the fabled Frederick’s Music Lounge. Pinche’s real name (and the name he went by while in The Spinns) is Josh Johnson. I’ve also seen him referred to as Duke Rattler, and his DJ name is DJ Charming Snake (check out his excellent podcast called ECHOES From the VAULT that we’re planning on adding to the stable of shows offered at the GaragePunk Podcast Network). But right now he’s on tour as the Pinche Gringo One Man Band, offering up primal garage/broken blues slop a la Hasil Adkins or Reverend Beat-Man… dirty, soulful, trashy and rawkus. And he’s bringing his act to St. Louis, appearing live at the Way Out Club this coming Wednesday night, November 19. Here’s a purdy cool video of Pinche doing his thing live in Mexico not too long ago:

By the way, this show is the same night as the Andre Williams doco at the Tivoli, but don’t worry… you’ll have plenty o’ time to hit that AND still make it down to the south side for this hoppin’ show. I know cuz that’s exactly what I plan on doing myself.

Health professionals aren't sure what causes premenstrual syndrome, but the likely cause is the fluctuation of two hormones, estrogen and progesterone. Estrogen may affect feel-good hormones endorphins and serotonin, contributing to depression, irritability and anger. Testosterone replacement using skin patches, topical gel, or injections into the muscle may be prescribed if your blood testosterone level is low. Uncontrolled high blood pressure (greater than 170/110 mm Hg) The most common form of management in current practice is the use of one of the oral PDE-5 inhibitors. If one agent does not work adequately at its maximum dosage, another agent should be tried. Trying these medications 3-4 times is sometimes necessary before concluding that the therapy is ineffective. Men who have a vascular-leak (venous leak) phenomenon may need a constriction device placed at the base of the penis to maintain the erection, which may be effective by itself or in combination with a PDE-5 inhibitor. In selected cases, combination therapy with one of the PDE-5 inhibitors plus Yohimbine, MUSE, or intracavernosal injections can be tried. Although some men have taken two different PDE-5 inhibitors simultaneously, no evidence suggests any benefit and the risk of significant adverse effects is greatly enhanced. However, the use of both a shorter-acting agent and a longer-acting agent is not unreasonable at appropriate times and intervals as long as they are not taken together. buy Viagra 150mg here canadian pharmacy viagra Nocturnal penile tumescence (NPT) This is a simple test of normal erections during sleep. Their absence may indicate a problem with nerve function or blood supply in the penis. There are two methods used to test for nocturnal erection changes: snap gauge and strain gauge. The presence of NPT tends to signify physically functional systems, but the absence of NPT may not be conclusive.
