Wingnuts & Moonbats

I guess I’ll file this one in the “I did not know that!” Department (or should I make it a category? Hmmm…), but I just found out from reading a blog entry on Bedazzled that the term “wingnut” is (according to Wikipedia) derived from the phrase “right-wing nut,” and is used in United States politics as a political epithet referring to people who hold extreme conservative, far-right views. Wow! I’ll have to remember that the next time some right-wing nutjob calls ME a wingnut. The correct term for me, my Repug friends, would be “moonbat.”

Boy, am I glad THAT mystery has been solved.
