The YouTube entry for this said it was from 1988, but I know that’s wrong. How? Because I was there, and I happened to be there with the future Mrs. Kopp, my lovely wife, Gina. Now, Gina and I didn’t even meet until January of ‘89, and this video was shot at their first show in St. Louis, at the ill-fated Bernard Pub (at its original location on Lafayette) in June of that same year. It’s crazy… we both totally remember that kid kissing Ian on the cheek and everything like it was yesterday. A timeless classic from Fugazi… enjoy!
This video was shot by Jim Utz, by the way…

nice work digging up some classic fugazi, which always makes me feel funny inside. that being said, the first video you posted is a dead link/code. just wanted to give you a heads up.
ps - i’m glad you’re really breaking this thing in again, like a pair of shoes that fits tight
“The first video I posted is a dead link/code”??? Which one are you talking about? I just checked all four videos I’ve posted here and all of them work fine…
DAMNIT!
I was at that show too, but the jackasses I was with made me leave before they came on. I still wish those people steel-toed nut kicks to this day. Man, that was set to be an awesome show too with all 100 (?) people there. Oh, well at least I got to see them at one of the packed Miss Nights shows, a few years later.
i can count on one hand the amount of bands that can even come close to that band on stage. i might even have a finger or 2 left but i gotta figure the other bands out before i do that cause im at a loss. the best thing about fugazi is they came like clockwork on the last week of school for 3 years in a row. like they booked all 3 tours 3 years in advance. those mississippi nights shows felt like you were stuffed into the boiler room of an over packed submarine. when fugazi kicked into gear it felt like someone shook the fuck outta that god damn submarine.
